Is it foolish to think that things will change?  Is it foolish to think that I can help make things change?  Well it is no more foolish to think that it will be someone else. 
Art is a channel that can funnel change and bring out something that connects to us all.  Not even all of us , but a source in the world...an energy that strikes a chord and gets people to react.  Ultimately, I guess that is the goal.  A reaction, good or bad, is an accomplishment and a message that says "yes."
And with the help of others and perhaps tapping in to the system, there will be even more reaction.

A lot of things have been going on.  My first distribution deal was made with a high end boutique in British Colombia Canada: Off the Dock.  They will be carrying both my CD; From Scratch and my clothing line; AJB Clothing.  I am pretty excited about that. 
I have a big show coming up on September 22 at the Vail Leavitt Music Hall.  People are coming from around the country which is really pretty wild.  I really cannot wait to perform for people that support what I do. 
Started booking gigs around the country for 2008.  It is going to be fun to travel a go to the people who like what I do.  So like I said things are pretty good and I am looking forward to the new things/

Every once in awhile I just like to say thank you to all of those who support what I do.  You guys are all so fantastic and inspire me to keep pushing to excel.  I know what I do is a little different from a lot of things, and not everybody gets that or gives that a chance.  I am completely independent, which means no one is hidden in the back round telling me what to say or do.  I make a living as an artist and do 3 things everyday: sing, dance and make clothing.  Everything has a reason and a purpose to it.  Everything.  I try not to hide behind things like autotune to make my voice sound perfect and even robotic.  I feel an honest voice connects more.  I have only one dancer because it makes more sense to be interacting with one person on stage and have the physicality enhance the meaning of the songs.  I also put up raw footage of shows because I want you all to see exactly what it is like at a show without fancy editing and tricks.  We live in a strange world where a lot "reality" is fake and all I want to do is put forth something honest and true and meaningful.

Just stopping in to write a bit.  A lot of stuff has been happening this year.  A lot of good, a lot of growth.  My CD is in the hands of people in 10 different countries as well as the clothing line.  I am also the first independent artist to be featured on KIIS FM's website.  JoJo Wright, who is like the biggest pop radio DJ messaged me and told me that he wanted to put me their website and start this new section because he received so many messages from people requesting my music.  That is a pretty cool thing.  It is actually something that does not really happen to independent artists.  And by independent artist, I do not mean some "indie" label that is really a subsidiary of a major...I mean truly independent.  Another thing that I have been asked is "who do you know" or "is it just luck".....Well the correct answer is neither.  It is the fact that I work everyday at building a fan base and have one that does wonderful things for me.  That is why I do this.  For the people that like what I do.  I have my theories on positive and negative energy but it takes a long time to get into.  But once you see things the way I do, it doesn't much matter when people come at you because it really has nothing to do with me.  I wish nothing but the best for everyone.  So the year continues and things will continue.  I look forward to what is to come.

The Album is Done.  The website is done.  The year is coming to an end and with the new year comes a big push.  Lots of shows, Lots of travel, lots of fun is on the way.  It is nice to see growth and it is nice to have support.  I am proud to say that my album is officially around the world.  Hopefully if you are reading this you enjoy what I do, if not, why are you here?  So Thank you =)  

This is a good thing this internet.  I think it is gonna be around for awhile.  It makes independence possible for marketable art.  I hope your holiday is great.  Hope your new year grand.  And I hope that you all are rad.

So I have been letting this sit for a bit, and now I want to give my take.  I hear a lot of "artists" talk about how they want to get away from pop music and do "real" music.  Or how it is all about the music and nothing else.   Okay now here are some things I have learned and I have known:  Pop music is real music. And yes, there are other things beside the music that matters.  Now if the music is nnot good then it stops right there.  But if you have good music, now you need a good stage show.  You need a purpose.  You need definition.  Should you be cuddling a teddy bear in a bow tie with a grin that says Love me?  No.  But why not have some artsy pictures that connects what you do?  My opinion is this: Do you.  Be the best you that you can be.  I get made fun of when I am missunderstood.....and that is okay, because I know that I am just being myself.  I Love my music and I am proud of it.  I make independent clothing..Art on a T.  Is it graffiti art with a boom box, puffy letters and a city skyline?  No, so that makes me lose cred.  Art is art.  It can be simple.  It can be simple because it has a purpose and a meaning.  A few years ago, I was riding on a unicorn and the unicorn turned to me and said "you know I like when I see something of value.....see the sun?  It is a circle, but it has value."  That is all i needed.  I love artists work....Art cannot be rated in reality...it is not a competition or a race, and what i do does not affect what you do.  So let's hug and be merry.

Okay, so summer is over and new things are in store.  Pre Sale for my debut album begins in just a few days.  Well technically, you can actually order it right now if you wanted because the function is on my order page right now.  officially however, Sept 15 is the date that is being pushed.  With the album comes a lot of new things.  I guess I will keep a lot of it secret until it is ready.  But rest assure young beings, there are things on the way.  Be one with the earth and be kind to one another and look for the truth in all things...

So I am going to start getting more active on here...because um, well, this is my journal to write what i think.  For a while I was getting flack on here or just getting weird vibes, but then i figured out who it was and you know what?  it is fine.  This is fun too because i can form sentences however i please and make as many punctuation decisions as i please.......Things are good for me and should be for everyone.  you know why? because we have a choice to.  We can do what we choose and if you want to be miserable that is only because you feel the need to.  But you know what?  oh well....It is fun for me right now...i get to do things on my own..independently....challening? yes ...fun? yes....a struggle ? yes, but it is all in a good way. I like being personal.  I like talking to people.  It is a lot of fun to see how people think and act and live their lives.  We are all these extraordinary things that have incredible stories to tell.  Some things get more credit than others, but none the less there are great tales among us all.  Everyone should get involved in something they are passionate about...Everyone should question why things are a certain way.  All people should look for the truth in what is ......I love art... all kinds of art...i really love when people are expressive..even if it is silly or not to the standards of the snobby elite...art is not for those...art is for people.  snooty elitest go home and listen or look at your own art that goes unnoticed and complain about everything else that is ......what is 2+2? 5 .....well maybe ......anywho have a good one

Just wanted to put a quick blog up about what is going on.  First of all, thank you to all of you have been supporting myself and aJb pRodUcTionS.  It is truly phenomenal what positive energy can do.  There are good things ahead.  The album should be released at the end of June and Matt's in July.  The clothing line is spanning the globe and that is exciting to see.  There should be a lot going on soon as far as making a dent with this.  Making a statement.  All the links are currently up on my site now so check em out.  So that is all for now, just wanted to pop in.  Most people reading this follow on myspace and all, so I will see you over there.
